HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE JESSERS!!!

Isn't he cute?!
Look at those freaky elbows! :)

It's my husbands birthday this Friday the 13th, but I will be at work and not able to blog, so I just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSE! He is a hard worker, and is the sweetest guy! I am very grateful to have Jesse in my life, and love every day that I get to be with him. He has a silly sense of humor, which I may not always be too fond of, but when I look back at times that I was mad at him for some silly comment or his silliness during certain situations I can laugh now. He is my best friend, and I love you Jesse!
Here we are trying to get the little stinker to use the doggy door. Can you see Jesse back there pushing him through...
So, as a continuation of Jesse's bday night with family on Tuesday night.... Jesse just has this thing where he just has to torture our nephews.. He knocked the air out of Chase when they were playing, so here he is making up with Chase.

I could just hurt myself...

So, you'd think that I could stick to a stupid diet right? NO!!!! I love to eat too much. I need someone to tell me to slow down or pretty soon, I'll need a new pair of jeans. I'm pretty discouraged right now, just b/c I cheated BIG TIME! I need to lose weight though. Stacy, if I could call you out for a minute... Would you be interested in walking/jogging together in the wee early hours of the morning, or do you already have a running group? Let me know... So, anyways, Jesse's birthday is upon us, and we have had some fun already. We went to Jesse's Grandma Johnson's house, and had cake and ice cream with them. Then Tuesday night, Holly, Charlie, Darron, Grandma Bradley, Tracee and her boys came over. Hence, more cake, more ice cream, and PIZZA!!! I eat way too much! We had a lot of fun with Jesse's family and my sister and family over there. The boys just played and wrestled, bothered Charlie (who was a good sport even though they kept calling him an "old man") ate, and got tickled. It was a lot of fun, and I always like getting together. Also, my momma in law, Holly, gave me a much needed manicure, and I enjoyed every second.

For Jesse's birthday, his mom and dad bought a doggie door for the Norbsters. He's a little scaredy pants, and is afraid of the flap or something which is pretty funny. On Wednesday he got better and actually used it without us enticing him with a snack. So, today I left him in the house while I went to the dentist, and made a small eensy weensy trip to the store. Do you think that Norbert was a good enough dog to use the doggy door to go and use the restroom outside!??? I think not. I was gone from 11-1 and when I got home he had relieved himself in the middle of the stairs and on my couch! What would make him decide to use the restroom on the couch! Maybe he has some sort of separation anxiety. If anybody has any pointers about what we can do with him then please let us know!

Brendt

Over the weekend I was able to go see Brendt wrestle for 1st or 2nd place. I never get there at the beginning of Cole, Chase, or Brendt's wrestling matches because of work, but I would like to try go catch a little bit after work. They're a lot of fun, but always have a hard time if they lose because they start crying, then I start crying, and it goes downhill from there! :) This match Brendt lost, causing him to get 2nd place. It's fun to see my nephews grow older and succeed at things they do. They are getting too old now, and one day they probably won't think I'm "cool Aunt Cathy" anymore, but I'll enjoy it while I can!

Here is what I had yesterday for lunch. It's crystal light, half of a wheat english muffin pizza, and a slim fast snack bar.

The day started off really good, but towards the end of the day I was ready to eat just about anything. I was only a little bad and ate a 100 calorie pack of pretzels. :)

Jesse

So, for the past 3 weeks Jesse has known that he wanted to try out for a corrections officer position with Metro. So, he started working out most every night, and studying. He was doing fine with everything except the mile and a half run that he had to complete in 17min, and 17 seconds. He completed his written exam on Monday, and passed! So, then on Tuesday he took his physical and passed as well! He completed his run in 16 min 50 seconds! Though, we know that wouldn't cut it in the academy, we will keep training. Academy is in May. Now, he's not in yet, he has to meet with an Oral Board today, and if he makes it past that, it's on to the psych tests and more! I'm so proud of my husband, and his determination! Good Luck Honey!

Slim Fast

"Oh my heavens!" That's what I said when I looked at the scale last Saturday morning. I then decided that I would do something. I have been exercising a little, but I have problems with the sweets! So, I decided to do a slimfast diet. This morning is my very first day. I am now chomping on a optima meal bar, and wishing that I could have grits, bacon, and eggs! I think that I will post a "before" picture, and hope to lose 10-15 lbs by our anniversary on St Patty's Day! Then afterwards, lose and additional 10-15 lbs. Whew. My first hour, and I'm already struggling!
So, anyways, anyone who is out there trying to fight the weight gain (besidese those who are pregnant) I'm here for ya! I will not disclose to ya'll how much I currently weigh, but I will try to show my weight loss results weekly! Anybody wanna do this with me, let me know, and we can show your results to! Good luck everyone!
