Big Bear Lake

Talk about the most relaxing vacation ever! We did nothing when we were in Big Bear Lake, and have never had more fun. We arrived there Tuesday at noon, and left Saturday morning. The main portion of our days was spent in bed playing war! Jesse beat me almost every game! And, I have never played such long games of War in my life! I swear one game lasted about 2 hours. We didn't really start our day until about 930 every morning when we would get up, and go right out for breakfast. We would take a walk down to the lake after that, immediately followed by an hour or two in the cabin. Then on to lunch, and a drive around some of the smaller towns up there, followed by another hour or two in the cabin. Nothing crazy, just a lot of relaxation! I loved this little ol' cabin that we stayed in. There was a little section of town called The Village where there was lots of shops for tourists that we liked to walk around as well. We found this little arcade where they had fun games like Donkey Kong Jr, Dig Dug, Frogger, Streetfighter, and games like that. After I suggested spending some time there, I knew it was a mistake once Jesse got on that Streetfighter game! Boy, can't get him away from it. :) If anyone has ever been to the City of Big Bear Lake, they will know what I'm talking about when I say that I was not real happy when we left Barstow to head up the Mountain. Everywhere was desert! I just kept thinking, "If this place is desert, I'm going home!" I did not want to spend our vacation in the desert....We live in the desert! I wanted cool Mountain air, and a little green around. Turns out once we go up this crazy jagged mountain, and pass Baldwin lake, it turns green! I was so happy, and even happier when I saw that there was a Rite Aid up there for some nice Thrifty ice cream. Most of you reading this will know that we no longer have Rite Aids in the State of Nevada, so you see my excitement! On Thursday night we discovered this place called Teddy Bear Restaurant. I was loving it, and you can see from the picture above, that Jesse was too~ I had a stuffed meatloaf, and he had this ginormous chicken pot pie. We shared a chocolate shake, and a peach cobbler as well! Loved that place. I'm pretty sure that I gained at least 5 lbs on this trip thanks to that place! That's all I have to say for now. Loved the vacation, and hope everyone is doing well!

Painting

So, here are some pictures of the nursery so far. I am posting some pics of what it looked like before we cleaned it up. Basically, we used the room as our junk room so there was just stuff everywhere. It only took us about 30 minutes to clean up...don't it look beautiful? :) Then we recruited some help for the painting. Jesse and I had decided when we first got married that we wanted to do our child's nursery in Disney,so we bought some photomosaic puzzles to put together and frame. On one of the walls we were gonna paint blocks, but Jesse decided that to go along with our puzzles that we would do puzzle pieces on the wall instead of the blocks. So far it's kind of hard because of all the cutting in we have to do, but it's a lot of fun. Tracee and Karissa came over and helped us, and we had some Papa John's and some Sonic Dr Pepper baby! I love that Sonic DP! I'll post some more pics of the room once we are all finished. Hope everyone's enjoying their Summer!

Shout out to the momma!

I have to just say that I'm a little proud of my mom right now... My mom is not the kind of person to get out a birthday card on time. Or any gift for that matter. We sometimes harass her because we'll get a Christmas gift 2 months late or something like that. No hard feelings Mom.. Well, yesterday I went to check the mail, and keep in mind this is a day BEFORE my birthday, and what do I see in the mailbox but a birthday card from my mom! I think I heard Angels singing. :) I love it! Anyways, this isn't to point out anything bad Mom, just a shout out lady! I love ya. I'll post more soon.....

25 weeks

So, I'm 25 weeks which means only one thing baby! 15 weeks left! I can't wait. I'm getting really excited and think that we still have a lot to do before Alyssa is here. Today, Jesse's mom and dad, Tracee and her boys came over and we all had Girl Scout Thin Mint Ice Cream cake from Dairy Queen. My birthday is not for another 9 days but we are going to another family function next weekend. The cake was yummy! Loved every bite of it. Especially during this hot Summer we're having. I've been having a lot of crazy dreams lately, but this "what to expect..." book is telling me that it's normal. Did anyone else have any crazy dreams during their pregnancies? Alright, I'm on a roll. 2 posts in a week of each other. Can I get a what what?
